Congratulations to Tony Choat who achieved a lifetime’s ambition by passing his PCV test!
Tony came to RSM Commercial Driver Training recently determined to gain his PCV driving licence. He was our oldest student at the age of 77 – which just goes to show you’re NEVER too old to learn something new and achieve a lifetime’s ambition.
Tony was taught by our driving instructor Treena Smith who was delighted to hear the news, having helped Tony persevere following his second test failure. The two were determined to get a pass and Treena said afterwards “A lovely man. An emotional pass.”
Naturally Tony was delighted at passing and wrote us this message:
I would like to thank you all, especially Treena, for your help and involvement in my successful PCV training. It has long been a wish of mine to drive something bigger than a car and, latterly, to provide cover for our Cricket Team coach driver when we play matches away from home which involve a stay away of more than a week.
Treena stayed positive for me after my second test failure and was determined to get her oldest student through the test, come what may!
So, thank you all for your help – I will think of you if approached for a recommendation.
It goes without saying, we are very proud of Tony’s achievement and everyone at RSM wishes Tony the very best of luck with driving the bus for his cricket team.
